Completed MBBS from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Belgaum in 2003 before doing his house surgeoncy in Kozhikode medical college in 2004. Completed DNB in General Surgery from Jubilee Mission hospital, Thrissur in 2012 & obtained a Diploma in laparoscopy from VG hospital Coimbatore the following year. He worked as an Assistant Professor of surgery in MES Medical College Perinthalmanna from 2012 to 2016

He also did a two year fellowship program in Upper Gastro intestinal & Bariatric surgery from University hospitals of North Midlands, Royal Stoke Hospital, Stoke On Trent, England under the aegis of the Royal College of Surgeons of London. He has a special interest in advanced Laparoscopic surgery, especially Laparoscopic Gastro intestinal & Bariatric surgeries.

While in the UK, he was trained to do complex surgeries involving a variety of conditions affecting the esophagus, bowel, liver, pancreas and gall bladder besides Bariatric surgery for obesity. He has assisted in numerous advanced Laparoscopic surgery including operating on “hot gallbladder” which is operating on acutely infected gallbladder, a technique still not use in India.
