Dr Smitha is a Consultant Nephrologist. She did her MBBS from Government Medical College Kozhikode, MD Paediatrics from Government Medical College Thrissur and subsequently completed her DM Nephrology from Government Medical college Kozhikode. 

She has experience in treating a wide variety of kidney conditions like Glomerulonephritis, acute and chronic kidney failure, and handling Renal Transplant cases etc. She handles patients who are on regular haemodialysis and on Peritoneal dialysis. She has many awards and Honours to her credit. She has presented papers at state and National level conferences.

Her special interests include- Paediatric Nephrology, Renal Transplantation and Interventional Nephrology- like biopsy, Permanent catheter insertion, percutaneous PD catheter insertion.
