Dr. Leela is a senior Obstetrician with nearly 46 years of clinical practice. After completing her MBBS from Grant Medical College, JJ Group of Hospitals, Mumbai in 1974, she started working in Ramdas Clinic and Nursing Home at Perinthalmanna as a General Physician following her marriage to Dr. S Ramdas. She was keen to learn Obstetrics and was fortunate to train under a famous obstetrician, Dr. Savitri Warrier.

She also did a short course in PPS and MTP training from Kozhikode Medical College. She has conducted nearly 20,000 normal deliveries and approximately 10,000 Caesarean sections besides numerous PPS, polyp removals, management of ectopic pregnancies, Ovarian cystectomies, and treatment of infertility. She also does minor surgical procedures like breast lump excision, Bartholin cyst removals, pilonidal sinus surgeries. Her area of interest is Obstetrics. She loves gardening and cooking in her free time.
